Our ministries
At Middleburg Church of God, we believe in the power of community and the importance of serving others. Our ministries are designed to meet a variety of needs and interests, providing opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship, and service.
C.P.R. Ministry
The C.P.R ministry focuses on helping other churches and church members with their needs. Funds raised through this ministry are dedicated to supporting those in our wider church community.
More than ten years ago, the Lord began dealing with my heart about leading both myself and others into a deeper compassion for those in need—especially struggling churches and ministries.
I know firsthand what that burden feels like. I have pastored churches with very little income and an overwhelming amount of work that needed to be done. I didn't create those problems, but the moment I accepted the pastorate, they became my responsibility. Like so many pastors today, I worked a full-time job while carrying the full-time responsibilities of shepherding a church, all while trying to keep the church functional, presentable, and moving forward with little or no financial resources.
Throughout my years in ministry, I have spoken with many faithful men of God who have faced—or are still facing—that same reality. Their burden has become a burden on my heart. I continue to believe the Lord is calling us to make a difference by helping lighten the financial load of churches and ministries whenever possible. Over the years, God has allowed us to help pastors who were facing urgent repairs and pressing financial needs, and every time we have been able to give, we have seen His hand at work.
I still believe the Lord is calling us to help.
Several years ago, I preached a message entitled “First Responders," using this passage:
Luke 10:30–34
And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead. And by chance there came down a certain priest that way: and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side. And likewise a Levite, when he was at the place, came and looked on him, and passed by on the other side. But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
As I prayed over that message, I felt the Lord directing me to establish a ministry here at Middleburg Church of God and to put out a call for “First Responders."
So what do First Responders do?
They give CPR.
C - Compassion
P - Passion
R - Renewal
We designated the fourth Sunday of every month as CPR Sunday at Middleburg Church of God. I challenged everyone who desired to become a First Responder to bring a generous love offering on those Sundays so we could build a fund that would be ready to respond when churches, pastors, or ministries faced urgent needs.
By God's grace, over the past ten years we have been able to help many churches, ministries, and pastors. Every gift has made a difference, and every act of generosity has reminded someone they are not alone.
Now we believe the Lord is leading us to take another step.
We are expanding this ministry beyond helping churches and ministers by launching CPR Outreach to minister directly to needs within our community. We would love for you to join us in this mission by becoming a First Responder.
Maybe God would lead you to sell something, take on a side job, or even organize a personal fundraiser so you can participate. No gift is insignificant when it is given in obedience to God. Together, we can become the hands and feet of Jesus to people who desperately need hope.
I have asked Bro. Trennis Miller, a young man who was recently saved and who feels called into ministry, to lead this outreach portion of the ministry. He and his family recently set up a prayer tent that allowed them to pray with and minister to many people in our community. We want to help him continue that work and expand the opportunities to reach people with the love of Christ.
If you would like to become a First Responder, you can mail a check to:
Middleburg Church of God
3225 Silverado Circle Green Cove Springs, FL 32043
You can also give through Venmo or Zelle by scanning the QR codes attached to this post.
It truly is a blessing to be a blessing.
Will you answer the call?
Will you become a First Responder to hurting churches, weary pastors, struggling ministries, and people in our community who simply need someone to care?
Together, we can give CPR—Compassion, Passion, and Renewal—to those who need it most.

The Retirement Home Ministry is a heartfelt initiative committed to serving the elderly with love, care, and spiritual support. This ministry focuses on enriching the lives of residents in retirement homes by providing companionship, encouragement, and opportunities for spiritual growth. Through regular visits, group activities, and one-on-one moments of connection, we aim to brighten their days and remind them that they are valued and loved. Whether through engaging worship services, uplifting conversations, or simply being a listening ear, the Retirement Home Ministry seeks to nurture a sense of community and belonging. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our senior community members—because every life matters, and no one should feel forgotten.
Blessing Box: One Of Our Ways to Support Our Community
Our Blessing Box is a small, community-driven initiative that provides free, non-perishable food and essential items to anyone in need. Located in the front of our church. This box operates on the principle of "Take what you need, leave what you can." To offer a helping hand to those facing tough times while giving others a chance to give back in a meaningful way. Donations are welcomed and can include canned goods, hygiene products, baby supplies, and other practical items. Whether you're looking for assistance or seeking to make a difference, our Blessing Box is a simple yet impactful way to foster kindness and support our community.
